Join Studio 1940 for a virtual Landscape Sketch Workshop on ZOOM

This workshop will be led by Quin Stone, Artist and PAFA Alumni, who recently taught our Selfie Portrait Sketch Workshop. Learn the basics of Landscape Drawing by sketching a landscape secene along with Quin. Chosen from rich travel photos. Learn to depict different types of trees, foliage, grasses, water, hills, mountains or rockscapes.
Choose any paper and medium you have at home: pencil, charcoal, ink, chalk, etc. This is a beginner workshop. Artists of any level of experience are welcome.
You will learn:
- How to lay out the picture plane
- How to translate 3D shapes to a 2 dimensional work
- Modeling the scene with dark, mid-tone and light shapes
- Adding detail with shading and highlights
- Techniques for various drawing implements
- Personal attention and critique at intervals throughout workshop
