ABSTRACT PAINTING at HOME with KITCHEN TOOLS
An abstract painting and mark-making workshop where paint brushes are traded for non-traditional painting and drawing tools found in your kitchen drawers!
How Will It Work?
You will learn to make colorful abstract art enjoying the freedom of loose mark-making and paint applications choosing from your collection of kitchen tools like forks, spoons, knives, cups, potato mashers, cookie cutters, toothpicks, straws, strainers, spatulas, decorative pastry cutters, etc. Using any water based paint we will investigate various marks and imagery each unusual tool can make. Then choose a color scheme and begin layering marks to make patterns on color backgrounds. Paper, canvas, board or any substrate that will hold up to paint will work. Having a hairdryer handy will save time between colors. I'll give you to a quick and easy color lesson before we start so you know which colors blend well together.
