Selfie Portrait Drawing Workshop on ZOOM

This workshop will be led by Quin Stone, Artist and PAFA Alumni, who recently taught our 10-week oil painting workshop. Learn the basics of portraiture by sketching the face from a selfie or a photo of your choice. Choose any medium you have at home: pencil, charcoal, ink, chalk, etc. This is a beginner workshop. Artists of any level of experience are welcome.
You will learn:
- How to lay out the facial features and plan your portrait
- How to translate a 3D face to a 2 dimensional work
- Modeling the face with dark, mid-tone and light shapes
- Adding detail and character with distinct shading and highlights
- Techniques for various drawing implements
- Personal attention and critique at intervals throughout workshop
